If you have been searching for bows for your CJ2A, CJ3A, or CJ3B 1/4-ton truck, your search is over. Through a reverse engineering process using original Willys approved bows, we have came up with a bow set that is so close to original specifications, you will think you just stepped back in time 60+ years and found a set of original bows.
All of our bow sets are made with 16ga. seamed tubing for the vertical bows, and 14ga. seamed tubing for the horizontal bows. Original bows were made from 15ga. material, which is no longer available. All of our bows are bent using actual engineered tooling, we do not cut and weld any angle or bend. All of the radiuses are a finished bend, meaning the inside and outside of the bends have a smooth radius.
The bows come delivered to you in raw form, for you to finish in the coating of your choice. i.e.: paint or powder coating.
All open ends of the bows are de-burred, and the fitted ends of the vertical bows have the interior seams removed for better fitment. The horizontal bows are tapered and swedged on the outer ends just like the original process.
We offer the 4 vertical bows, the 2 horizontal bows, and the tube spacer (bow between the center horizontal bow and the windshield).
We offer the CJ2A bows in 2 configurations, just like was originally offered. The early version contains rivets in the upright bows as stops for the crossover bows, and the later version contains punch tabs.
The front vertical bows (dog- leg bows) have the upper door rod hardware tab welded onto it just as the originals, and the 3A/3B vertical bows also contain the holes drilled into them to accept the rear rod stiffeners, which we also include.
